success is managed by Ivars Mēkons. He was born in 1980 in Riga, Latvia. In 2004 he graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Latvia with a master`s degree - LL.M. His master thesis was on international aviation law.

Since 2003, he has advised and represented the Latvian Government in almost all of its strategic business deals with foreign investors, and, since 2004, he has helped the Government to friendly resolve all foreign investment disputes - including, those submitted under investment protection treaties. An average amount of an investment dispute that he has handled equals 200 million EUR, while the average amount of business deals equals 900 million EUR. Each engagement is an exciting experience, yet a most challenging has been devising, negotiating and drafting Latvia`s agreement with TeliaSonera Group (the 5th largest European telecom operator with international presence, based in Sweden) that eliminated the possibility of restarting an unfavourable arbitration against the State with the total amount of the dispute being valued at around 1 billion EUR.
